To succeed in your job search, you must be familiar with the labour market in Québec or in the region where you wish to work. That way, you will have a better knowledge of the occupations available to you.

Emploi-Québec's online services

Emploi-Québec offers two essential job seeking tools:

LMI (Labour Market Information) Online

LMI Online features reliable and up-to-date information on

LMI Online allows you to compare the occupations that interest you and find out the job prospects for these occupations throughout Québec or in a given region.

LMI Online also informs you about the training required to ply a trade and the schools offering the training.

Online Placement

Online Placement offers several services for job seekers.

You can check out the many job offers available in your region or elsewhere in Québec.

You can also enter your candidacies for prospective employers to view and create Job Alerts! that will send you an email notice when job offers match your skills. Because LMI Online and Online Placement are linked, you have fast access to labour market information and job offers in a given region and details on the occupation of your choice.

Other sources of information concerning employment

By going to your local employment centre (CLE), you can also access the many available documents on the labour market in your region or elsewhere in Québec.

Follow the news in your local paper for information on investment projects in your area. Classified ads are also a good indication of which jobs are in high demand.
