Labour Market Information – LMI Online

Do you want to know what the job prospects are for a given trade or occupation? Use this free online service, available 24 hours a day, and improve your chances of finding a job quickly!

LMI Online New window. will help you make informed decisions based on reliable, up-to-date information on such things as:

  • job descriptions, wages and salaries, and job prospects for over 500 trades and occupations;
  • the trades and occupations currently in highest demand in each region of Québec;
  • employer requirements.

LMI Online provides data specific to each region as well as information on the training required for different trades and occupations and the educational institutions that offer it. You can also search for information by sector of activity.

Under the Canada-Québec Labour Market Agreement, Québec is responsible for active employment measures under the Employment Insurance Program as well as for certain National Employment Service functions available to Employment Insurance recipients. These measures and functions are funded by the Employment Insurance Account, which falls under the responsibility of the Government of Canada.
