The Québec government launched the Commitment for Employment in 2008 to address Québec’s workforce challenges. In response to the poor economic conditions, it unveiled the Employment Pact Plus in 2009 to support workers and businesses while preparing Québec for economic recovery.
The Commitment for Employment is a three-year strategy that proposes a series of measures to facilitate labour market entry for people who want to work, acknowledge and reward work, improve manpower training and business productivity and address regional labour needs.
