Assistance for Women

Diversifying career choices

Maternity (Pregnancy)

  • Ma place au soleil External site, opens in a new window.
    This measure is designed for young parents who have not completed secondary school. It aims to help them complete their general education so that they can go on to obtain a diploma in vocational or technical education leading directly to jobs in demand in the labour market.
  • Pregnant Minor Financial Assistance Program External site, opens in a new window.
    The Ministère de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale can provide monthly financial assistance to a minor who is pregnant and has no financial resources.
  • Québec Parental Insurance Plan (QPIP) External site, opens in a new window.
    The QPIP pays benefits to all eligible workers taking unpaid maternity, paternity, adoption or parental leave.
