Service points for individuals

Are you temporarily unemployed? Are there obstacles preventing you from finding a job? Are you simply looking for a new job? We have local employment centres (CLEs) across Québec that can provide the following, according to your situation:

• Help and tools for all the steps during your job search. Visit our multiservice rooms.
• Personalized services (available upon appointment only), that will help you enter the labour market. The services proposed to you will take into account your situation (you haven’t worked in a number of years, your training is no longer up-to-date, you must complete secondary school in order to begin vocational training, etc.).

You can also obtain social solidarity services for employment-assistance beneficiaries at the CLEs.

The Multiservice Room: An Employment Clearinghouse

Do you want information on the labour market? Need a place to write your résumé? Every local employment centre (CLE) has a multiservice room for people seeking to enter or re-enter the job market. This room is equipped with a host of tools to facilitate your job search.

What you will find in the multiservice room

• Documentation on the regional labour market, in-demand trades and occupations, the skills employers are looking for, employment trends in the various economic sectors, hiring conditions in your region and in Québec as a whole.
• Telephones, fax machines, computers, printers and photocopiers that you can use to contact potential employers or write your résumé or letters of application.
• Bulletin boards posting information on job openings, upgrading courses, services offered in your community or region, practical advice on how to find a job, etc.
• Display stands with information brochures on Emploi-Québec measures and services.

In the multiservice room, you can also consult job offers and post applications on job-search sites such as Online Placement, one of the free services offered by Emploi-Québec.

Personalized employment services

Have you been unable to find a job, despite your efforts? 

• Do you lack basic writing and math skills?
• Have you been out of the labour market for a long time?
• Are you having trouble identifying your strengths and the aspects you could improve?
• Would you like to know more about how to act during a job interview?
• Does your past make it difficult for you to find a job?
• Do you need general or vocational training to change fields, increase your skills or adapt to new technology?
• Would you like to start a business but need advice on how to go about it?

Make an appointment with an assistance officer at the nearest local employment centre (CLE) . If your situation requires personalized services, we will decide with you on the measures to be taken in order for you to find a job and will prepare a personalized intervention plan.
